Welcome to the Coptic Orthodox Church of The Resurrection


This is a brand new church, named and established personally by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, during his historic visit to New Jersey on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018.

His Holiness established this church in the presence of His Grace Bishop David (our Interim Exarch) to minister to Americans and English-speakers of all nations, whether born in the faith or later-coming.

This church is a Coptic Orthodox Church in its faith, doctrine, rites, traditions, and teachings. It is under the direct leadership of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and the Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church, and currently overseen by His Grace Bishop David, Interim Exarch Bishop of the Archdiocese of North America.

We strive to be faithful to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, eager and enthusiastic to grow spiritually by:

  • worshipping and offering praise and glory to God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
  • welcoming diverse members of the community from every nation, tongue, tribe, and language;
  • focusing on the love of God and the love of our neighbor through community service and humanitarian care;
  • teaching and equipping believers to be disciples;
  • spreading the Good News to the world.
